Sony Xperia T Camera Samples

I found a very nice article a couple a days ago on the Sony Xperia T Camera and I must admit I was rather impressed with the results. The 13 MP camera makes this phone a real digital camera with Exmor R sensor camera technology. The camera has a f/2.4 aperture and is able to produce mind-blowing still shots. I didn't really like the quality of the photos in low light conditions and the video quality could be better, but overall I was quite impressed.

Here are some samples (click to enlarge) before we get into the specs:

As the Sony Xperia T Review Blog states, the camera uses Sony's integrated  BSI sensor which is, in the world of smartphones, probably second only to what Nokia uses in their devices such as the Nokia 808 Pureview which is a real beast!

The problem, however, with the Xperia T might be the lack of HDR mode, but there is an alternative that the phone provides in the form of backlight-correction.

As for the noise, you won't generally have a problem with this issue unless you are shooting in low light conditions when things get rather difficult. As for the video it is highly sophisticated, but rather standard and here is a sample you can look at:
